What does GiFT do? GiFT provides support to families who are suffering emotional and financial stress from having critically ill infant(s) hospitalized in neonatal intensive care units (NICU) by providing essential items and services.

Does GiFT help families pay medical bills?  No. GiFT provides donated items and services to families.

How are the families chosen? The families that GiFT serves are referred by licensed clinical social workers who specialize in working with NICU families.  All families referred to GiFT have been referred by a NICU social worker.

Can I donate money to GiFT?  Yes!  You can mail a check payable to Giving is a Family Tradition, to PO Box 39313 Saint Louis, MO 63139.  You can also make a secure donation through our website's Donate page

If I make a cash donation to GiFT, how will my money be spent?  GiFT is run solely by volunteers and operates on a shoestring budget.  This means that nearly all of your donation goes directly to helping families.  If you'd like your donation to go toward a specific family or program, just let us know.

What types of items can I donate to GiFT?  Please visit our Donate page where you'll find a link to our Amazon Wish Lists (Smile.Amazon.com).

I do not want to donate money or items to GiFT, is there another way I can help?  Yes!  We need volunteers for a variety of things; from helping out at our fundraising events to working with the families we serve.  If you're willing to help, we will create a way for you to get involved.  Contact us if you have an idea!

Is my donation to GiFT tax deductible?  YES!!!  GiFT is a 501C3 tax exempt organization (FEIN 80-0697118).  GiFT is also an Incorporated Nonprofit in the state of MO.
