October 19, 2012:  We’re twin boys born 4 months early and share a room at Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center.  I’m the one in the top photo, born 2 days after my brother.  We’ve both come a long way since we were born 2 1/2 months ago.  I weighed 1 pound, 3.4 ounces and now weigh 4 pounds, 6.6 ounces.  I’ve learned to eat from a bottle and hope to go home very soon.  My big brother weighs 4 pounds, 14 ounces and has already had 4 surgeries.  He’s growing big & strong just like me but needs 2 more surgeries before he’s ready to go home.  He has to have his belly fixed and the doctors need to put a special drain in his head.

October 12, 2012: I’ve been doing very well eating from my bottle and packing on the pounds, only 1 more ounce & I’ll be 4 pounds! I have reflux that’s keeping me in the hospital but I don’t need oxygen anymore.

September 2012: I was born 10 weeks early and have been growing up at St. Louis Children’s Hospital for about a month now. I’ve gained 4 ounces since then and tip the scales at 2lbs, 7oz!  I still need oxygen to remind me to breath.  I have a special tube in my belly for feedings but I’m getting stronger.  I’ll need to stay here a little longer...

October, 2012:  We are together again and growing big and strong!!  Living at home with our family is so much fun, our big brother is 3 and he loves to help take care of us.

August 13, 2012:  I got to go home but Tylyn had a set back & has to stay in the hospital for now.  I can’t wait until the day that we’re together again, I miss him. -Taylyn

August 7, 2012:  We have been growing a lot! I, Tylyn, was born at 1lb. and 3oz. and now weigh 6lbs. 1oz. I, Taylyn, was born at 1lb. 5ozs. and now weigh 5lbs. 14ozs. Trust us we are eating just fine and getting better day by day. Our doctors says that we will be coming home very soon. We are so happy! We have amazing Docs!

June 20, 2012:  We are growing, we’ve both gained over a pound since birth!  We both had to get over pneumonia but don’t need a breathing machine anymore!   Right now, we get our milk through a special feeding tube.  All we have to do now is learn how to eat & keep growing.

May 18, 2012:  Hi, We are Tylyn and Taylyn and were born 4 days apart.  Yes, we are still considered twins with different birthdays.  I, Tylyn, was born at 23 weeks and 2 days. I, Taylyn, was born at 23 weeks and 6 days. So yeah, we weren't yet ready for the world. We were transferred from St.Mary's Hospital to our current home at Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center because we both needed help developing certain skills; such as breathing, eating, and growing.
