Frequently Asked Questions

What does GiFT do?

GiFT strives to empower families who have or have had critically ill newborns in NICU (newborn intensive care unit). We provide infant care essentials, education, and transportation assistance.

Does GiFT help families pay medical bills?

No. GiFT is unable to assist in paying medical expenses at this time. We hope that we will be able to offer this assistance in the future.

How can I get GiFT support for my family?

GiFT families are referred by licensed clinical social workers who specialize in working with NICU families. If you think you may need support from GiFT, talk with your NICU social worker about a referral to one of our programs.

Can I donate money to GiFT?

Yes! All monetary donations are tax deductible as allowable by law. GiFT is a 501C3 tax exempt organization (FEIN 80-0697118). Donate TODAY!

If I make a cash donation to GiFT, how will my money be spent?

GiFT is a small organization and we make every dollar stretch to it's full potential. Approximately 85% of all funds go directly to support GiFT programs. If you'd like your donation to go toward a specific family or program, just let us know.

What types of items can I donate to GiFT?

We are always in need of infant care essentials. Please see our Frequently Needed Items list to learn more. Host a baby shower or infant care essentials drive for GiFT! Contact us to learn more!

I do not want to donate money or items to GiFT, is there another way I can help?

Yes!  We need volunteers at our Distribution Center. Find more information on our Volunteer Page. If the sign up times don't work for you and you're willing to help, we will find a way for you to get involved. Contact us to learn more.
